Mixing Up the Background with Creative Compositing
I’m far from a master in Photoshop, but it’s something I want to learn more about. For this Project I decided to blend two or more photos together, with an emphasis on putting people in new locations. The first image is from a fashion shoot I did a little while ago. Our model was dressed as Cruella De Vil. Originally we had her in front of a fireplace surrounded by white walls. This was a great background for her character already, but as I looked for photos to try some creative compositing with, I thought that I could put her somewhere a little darker and grimier, to match her sinister nature. I found another photo that I had taken that had a brick background. I composited the brick into the Cruella photo and rotated it. I realized the brick was looking too smooth, so I found another photo online with some dirt textures, and then I painted that texture in on some of the bricks. I liked the result overall, and I’m excited to keep practicing and learning with photoshop!
